With Flash Stamps / pre-inked stamps, the text plates are not dyed using a separate inkpad. Instead, the text plate itself is already impregnated with ink. Pre-inked stamps, as with Flash Stamps, require no reverse mechanism in the stamp housing. This means that the Flash Stamp unit is comparatively small and handy, even with large-scale text plates.
